Purpose.
The one word that changes everything. It either comforts or confronts.
Comforts
It comforts when I’m weary, confused, uncertain, failing, or when pain envelops me and darkness is my closest friend.
It’s comforting because I know my purpose.
I know everything that God sends my way is the best possible thing for me, and that God alone is in control of all things. It doesn’t mean it’s easy. It doesn’t mean things always turn out the way I want them — it’s just comforting to know who’s in control.
Confronts
It confronts when I lose sight of the purpose, resulting in major doubt storms, pain, fear, depression, and sometimes failure.
I have found that marketing is similar to life. It works out better when you remember the purpose behind your goal. The purpose helps you blaze new paths and ideas. It helps you endure hardship and adversity. It helps you gain perspective and hope. It helps you move forward. It helps you win.
