More than likely you are being ignored.
Many have a fantasy that others care, but they don’t. Most are thinking of themselves and their problems, not you.
Therefore, we try a lot of things to get their attention.
Remember when everybody was going to blog? And then there were these marketing channels: MySpace, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat, Google+, YouTube, Pinterest, and the list goes on. Now according to GlobalWebIndex, social sharing has dropped and has been trending downward.
We’ve learned our tools are just fads. We all like new. We gravitate to free. We’ve learned not everybody is a star. If you build it, doesn’t mean they will come. Loyalty is temporary at best. The customer is in control. Google is for problem-solving.
Still there are those who try to game the system by employing annoying tactics to get more eyeballs and clicks. Those people lose. Today you must be remarkable. There are no shortcuts. There are no exemptions because you haven’t done it before. It takes hard work and a great strategy.
Here are my thoughts to a winning marketing strategy:
- Create a product or service worth paying for.
- Make it easy to do business with you.
- Create GREAT content.
- Grow and nurture your list.
- Be relentless at improving your story and your service.
